The feel good factor surrounding Folkestone’s redevelopment is being
caught on camera by three amateur film makers – and a documentary
montage of the footage will be screened at University Centre Folkestone’s
official launch next February.
Performing arts students, business owner Sam Millen and Herald reporter
Sarah Shaffi are the rookie cameramen armed with state-of-the-art camcorders
supplied by Folkestone audiovisual specialist Halksworth Wheeler.
Their respective aim is to capture snippets of first-term student life,
the expanding business community in Folkestone’s arty Creative
Quarter, and progress of the town’s regeneration programme.
As one of the oldest firms in Folkestone, we thought it’d be nice
to show how the redevelopment is attracting new businesses, including
the University, and helping to enrich the town’s social and financial
prospects.
Folkestone audiovisual specialist retunes business focus
Folkestone’s forty year association with prestigious audiovisual
brand Bang & Olufsen has come to an end with news that the town’s
TV and hi-fi specialist Halksworth Wheeler is parting company with the
brand.
Dealer Principal Philip Smith has taken the decision to stop stocking
Bang & Olufsen products, saying the brand deserved the dedication
of a franchise,
However, he was quick to reassure existing customers that Bang & Olufsen
sales and servicing are still available through our Bang & Olufsen
franchise in Maidstone.
